Sharing and comments
Share a live link to your design, design together with your team in real time, and leave comments on the canvas.
Share a link so anyone can view, present, and comment on your design in their browser. Invite your team to edit it with you live, AI included. Leave comments on the canvas for yourself, your team, or Agent.
Share a link
- Click Share in the canvas toolbar.
- If you are signed out, click Sign in.
- Click Create link.
- Click Copy to copy the link.
Viewers open the link in their browser to view, present, and comment. They do not need an account.
You can also run Copy Design Link from the command palette. It publishes the design first if it has no link yet.
Manage the link
The share card shows:
- Comments: a switch that lets anyone with the link comment, with the number of comments and open threads.
- Live: a switch. When it is on, people on the link see your changes, and your AI's, as they happen. The card shows who is viewing.
- Views: how many times the link was opened.
- Update link: publishes the design as it is now. The link stays the same.
Open More to Open in browser or Turn off link. Turning the link off asks you to confirm, because it stops working for everyone.
Fonts installed only on your computer are not uploaded. The card lists them, and viewers see a similar font.
While people are on the link, their faces appear next to Share in the toolbar.
A design in Drafts can be shared too. The card shows In Drafts on this computer, with Move… to move it into a project folder.
What viewers see
The link opens the design in the browser, with three modes at the top (and at the bottom on a phone):
| Mode | Key | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| View | V | Look around the design |
| Interact | I | Try its motion and prototype links |
| Comment | C | Click the design to leave a comment |
Viewers can also Present the prototype, switch pages and screens, zoom, copy the link, and pick a light or dark theme. The comments panel lists Open and Resolved threads. To comment without an account, a viewer types their name. Comments from the link show up on your canvas, and yours show up for them.
Design with your team
Teammates you invite edit the design with you, live, each on their own computer. The design stays on your computers. Velork keeps only an encrypted copy it cannot read, for when nobody else is online.
- Open Share and click Invite next to Design with your team.
- Pick the team. If you are not in one yet, click Create a team on velork.com and add the people you design with.
- Copy the Invite link and send it. Opening it in Velork gets your teammate the design.
If someone sent you an invite, click Got an invite link? Join a design.
Live team design needs the Team plan. See Teams.
Follow a teammate
Teammates designing with you appear next to Share in the toolbar. Click a face to follow their view. A small mark shows when their AI is working, and following them follows it too. Click again to stop following.
Click Leave in the share card to work alone for a while. Your changes still travel through git. Click Join to design together again.
Leave comments
- Pick the Comment tool in the toolbar, or press C.
- Click the spot on the canvas you want to comment on.
- Type your comment and press Return.
In a thread you can reply, mention people, add emoji reactions, attach up to 5 images and GIFs, edit or delete your own comments, and Mark as resolved.
Agent can read comments, add its own, reply, and resolve threads. When the design has a share link, its comments go on the link as Velork AI, so everyone viewing sees them. Without a link, they are the project's own comments on the canvas. You can ask it to work through feedback:
Go through the open comments on this page and fix what they ask for.
Comments from a connected Figma file appear on the canvas too. See Paste from Figma.
