Sessions

Each Agent conversation is a session. Velork keeps multiple sessions per workspace so you can parallelize work or return to earlier threads.

Start and close sessions

Closing chat archives the session — it does not delete history.

Agents panel

Open the Agents view in the auxiliary bar to browse sessions. Filter the list, archive or unarchive old threads, and reopen a session in the side panel, editor area, or a new window.

Useful when you run long tasks and want to start a fresh chat without losing the previous run.

Workspace binding

New sessions may prompt Select Project Folder if no folder is open. Sessions inherit the open workspace — files, tasks, and canvas context stay scoped to that folder.

Access gate

Chat is unavailable until you sign in and connect at least one AI provider. Complete first-run setup or use Settings → General to connect.

Background runs

Task Agent automation and in-flight tool runs can continue while you switch sessions or views. Check the Tasks board for run status. See Tasks.
