AI images

Ask the agent for photos, illustrations, and textures. Velork generates them, saves them with the design, and fills the layers they belong in.

The agent can generate images for your design: photos, illustrations, 3D renders, textures, and backgrounds. Each image is saved with the page and fills the layer it was made for, sized to that layer's shape.

Images are generated on Velork's servers, so you need to be signed in. They use your plan's AI image allowance, not your AI provider.

Generate images

Ask in chat, usually in Design mode:

Fill the three feature cards with soft 3D illustrations of a calendar, a chart, and a lock, on a pale blue background.

Make a hero photo of a ceramic coffee cup on a linen table, morning light, shallow depth of field.

The agent leaves frames for the images in the layout, then fills them. While it works, its cursor waits on the layers being filled, and the chat shows Generate image with the prompt.

You can ask for:

  • Several images at once: up to 8 in one go, generated 3 at a time
  • Variants: up to 4 versions of one image to choose from. The first fills the layer.
  • A transparent background, for cutouts and stickers. These save as PNG; others save as JPG.
  • Quality: low, medium, high, extra high, or max. Medium is the default.
  • A size: by default the image matches the layer's aspect ratio, at about one megapixel

Use a reference image

Point the agent at an image to work from, such as your logo, a product shot, or a style you like. A reference can be:

  • A layer on the canvas that has an image
  • A file in the project or the page's assets
  • An https link

References can be up to 12 MB each. For logos, the agent exports the real logo file first and passes it as the reference, so the shape stays right.

Where images are saved

Each image is saved in the page's assets folder, named after the prompt, for example ai-ceramic-coffee-cup-3f9a2c.jpg. When no project folder is open, the image is stored inside the design instead.

Generated images are regular image fills. Swap, crop, and export them like any other image. Undo removes the fills in one step.

Credits

Images use image credits. The cost depends on quality and size:

QualityCredits per image, up to 1024 × 1024
Low1
Medium3
High8
Extra high16
Max32

Larger images cost the same again for each started megapixel. Using reference images adds 1 credit per image. Credits are charged when an image starts, and the agent sees how many it used and how many you have left.

When you run out, the image frames stay in the layout and the agent tells you the images need more credits. See Plans and usage for each plan's monthly allowance.
