Paste from Figma
Velork imports Figma through the clipboard. Copy a frame or component in Figma, paste on the Velork canvas, and iterate with Agent — no export plugin or file URL required.
Copy in Figma
- Select the frame or component
- Copy with Cmd + C / Ctrl + C
Prefer top-level frames. Use Figma components for repeated patterns and name layers semantically — Velork maps names to code structure.
Paste on Canvas
- Open Canvas in Velork
- Paste with Cmd + V / Ctrl + V
Layers appear in the Design sidebar. You can also paste during first-run setup or via Activate Figma Design in the command palette.
Generate code
With the frame selected, open chat in Develop mode:
Generate this frame as React + Tailwind. Use shadcn-style primitives where they fit.
Agent uses the design tree and your repo together.
Tips for clean pastes
- Define text styles and color styles in Figma so typography and tokens survive paste
- Use auto-layout frames — constraints transfer more predictably
- Avoid deep nesting of unnamed groups — flatten where you can
Link your Figma account
Web OAuth at velork.com/figma links your Velork account for account-level features. Paste from the clipboard works without linking.
See Figma account.
What is not supported today
- Importing a Figma file by URL inside Desktop
- Live sync when the Figma file changes after paste
When the source updates, copy and paste again, or ask Agent to merge changes in code.
