Velork Capture
Capture workflow
Select elements or a whole page in Chrome, copy them as design layers, and paste them on the Velork canvas.
Velork Capture works in three steps: select what you want on the page, copy it, and paste it on the canvas.
Start selecting
On the page you want to capture, do one of these:
- Click the Velork icon and click Select element.
- Press Cmd + Shift + E.
A toolbar appears on the page with Capture page, Select element, Copy, and Close.
Select elements
With Select element on, move the pointer over the page. The element under it is outlined.
- Click an element to add it to your selection.
- Click more elements to capture several at once.
- Click a selected element again to remove it.
To take the whole page instead, click Capture page.
Copy
Click Copy in the on-page toolbar, or press Cmd + Shift + C. With several elements selected, the button reads Copy 3 (or however many you picked).
When the layers are on your clipboard, the button reads Copied and the page shows Copied to clipboard.
Press Escape or click Close to leave the picker.
Paste in Velork
- Open your project in Velork Desktop.
- Switch to Canvas with Cmd + Option + C.
- Click the canvas and press Cmd + V.
Edit the layers on the canvas, then ask Agent in Develop mode to build them.
Capture limits
Each element you capture counts as a web capture. Elements you have selected but not pasted yet count toward the limit too. The popup shows how many you have used this month under Web captures.
When you reach your limit, the page shows Web capture limit reached. Paste the selections you already have, or click Upgrade plan. See Plans and usage.
Velork Capture or the built-in browser
| Tool | Best for |
|---|---|
| Velork Capture | Elements or pages you have open in Chrome, including pages you are signed in to |
| Built-in browser | Hover and click states, several breakpoints, and recorded animations |
Velork Capture reads the tab as Chrome shows it, so pages behind your sign-in capture as you see them. Both tools turn the page into the same kind of editable layers. See Capture websites.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot run on this page (use http/https): the tab is a Chrome page, a file, or another page extensions cannot access.
- Velork capture cannot run inside an iframe: open the framed page in its own tab and try again.
- Sign in to Velork to capture elements.: open the popup and click Sign in.
