Settings

Open Settings with the Settings button in the title bar or Cmd + ,. In the Agents layout it opens as a tab in the agents panel. In the IDE it opens in the editor.

Pages are grouped into App, AI, and Account. Advanced settings at the bottom opens the full VS Code settings editor.

App

General

Chat

• Sessions: show chat sessions in a Sidebar or as Tabs above the chat (the default). This applies to the Agents layout.
• Tabs by workspace: Off (every chat has a tab), Picker (one workspace at a time, with a switcher), or Groups (a labelled group per workspace)
• Chat detail: Detailed (full cards for commands, edits, and tools), Compact (one-line rows), or Minimal (only the agent's updates and answers)
• Caveman mode: Off (normal answers), Caveman (short answers, every fact kept, fewer tokens), or Ultra (shortest answers: fragments, each fact once). Caveman is on by default. Code, commands, and anything Agent saves stay written in full.
• Notifications: notify you when an agent finishes or needs you

Editor

• Editor settings: font, formatting, minimap, and more, in the VS Code settings editor
• Keyboard shortcuts: opens the keyboard shortcuts editor. See Keyboard shortcuts for the defaults.

Phone

Reach this computer from the Velork phone app: pair a phone, choose which folders it can open, and keep the computer awake. See Phone access.

AI

Models

Pick which models show in the chat model picker. Search Your models, turn individual models on or off, or remove a provider. Under Providers, connect another provider or Manage one you already use.

Command: Open Model Settings. In the chat input, Cmd + / opens the model picker.

Instructions

Text added to every new chat, such as your tone, formatting preferences, or stack. Click Save to apply it.

Permissions

What Agent can run without asking you.

• Run everything: skip every prompt and list. Choose Off, Until restart, In this workspace, or Everywhere
• Shell commands: Commands set to Ask first or Run automatically
• Command lists: patterns that Run without asking, Always ask, or Never run, for This workspace or All workspaces
• Remembered rules: rules you saved from permission prompts

Tools & MCP

Give Agent extra tools from MCP servers. Browse a catalog, Add server by hand, or Edit the MCP config file. Each server shows its scope (User, Workspace, or Remote), its status, and how many tools it provides. See MCP servers.

Cloud computer

A Linux desktop in the cloud that your agents use, shared by all your chats. It's created the first time an agent uses it.

• Start or Stop it, and Watch live to see its screen beside the chat and take over when the agent needs you
• Usage shows the minutes used this month against your plan's limit, and how many idle minutes pass before it stops itself
• Reset the computer deletes its disk, including files, installed apps, and sign-ins

Account

Account

Your name and email with Open dashboard (the web dashboard), your Plan with Manage (opens Plan & billing), and Log out to sign out of Velork on this computer.

Plan & billing

• Your current plan, with Upgrade plan on Hobby or Manage plan (opens the web dashboard) on a paid plan
• Upgrade plans lists every plan, billed Monthly or Annual
• Included usage for the current period
• Payment: Manage payment opens the billing portal. If a payment fails, a banner offers Update payment.
• Invoices with a View link for each one
• Cancel your subscription at the end of the period, or Keep subscription if you change your mind
• Team billing for team workspaces, with Open team billing, and a link to the Billing & refunds policy

Usage

Your AI activity in Velork: an overview, a Providers breakdown of requests and tokens over the last 30 days, and a detailed table you can filter by 1d, 7d, 30d, MTD, or Last month. Click Export CSV to download it.

For cost and plan limits while you work, open the Spend tab in the agents panel with Cmd + Option + 6.
