Setup

Velork Capture is a Chrome extension that copies UI from any website as editable design layers. You paste them on the canvas in Velork Desktop.

You need:

• Google Chrome 114 or later
• A Velork account
• Velork Desktop, to paste what you capture

Install

1. Open Velork Capture in the Chrome Web Store.
2. Click Add to Chrome and confirm.
3. Pin the extension to the toolbar so it is one click away.

Sign in

1. Click the Velork icon in the Chrome toolbar.
2. Click Sign in.
3. Finish signing in on the Velork tab that opens.

The popup then shows your name, your plan, and your Web captures usage for the month. To sign out, click Logout.

Permissions

The extension only works on the tab you start it on, and only after you open the popup or press its shortcut. It reads the page through Chrome's DevTools protocol to capture styles and detaches when the capture is done.

Captures go to your clipboard. Nothing you capture is uploaded. The extension talks to Velork only to sign you in and check your plan's capture limit.

Change the shortcuts

The default shortcuts are Cmd + Shift + E to start selecting and Cmd + Shift + C to copy. To change them, open chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

Where it works

• Pages served over http or https. Chrome's own pages and the Web Store are off-limits to extensions.
• The top-level page. Velork Capture does not run inside iframes.
