Inspiration
Inspiration helps you start from real UI instead of a blank canvas. Captured references land on an Inspiration page inside Canvas — there is no separate Inspiration title tab.
Capture from the canvas toolbar
On Canvas, open the toolbar actions menu: Capture inspiration from a website or desktop app
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Website URL | Capture a public website — loads the page into editable layers |
| Desktop app | Capture a running app window — macOS may relaunch with CDP debugging; otherwise screenshot fallback |
| Chrome extension | Link to Install Velork Capture for element-level web capture |
After success: Inspiration captured. Switched to the Inspiration page.
Capture with Agent
Switch to Inspiration mode in chat, then ask:
Capture https://example.com and add it to my inspiration board.
The inspiration tool only runs in Inspiration mode. Switch to Develop before asking for code.
Capture with Velork Capture
For one element on a page, use the Chrome extension:
- Cmd + Shift + E — pick element
- Cmd + Shift + C — copy
- Paste on Canvas — Cmd + V
From reference to code
- Capture to the Inspiration page
- Edit layers in the Design sidebar
- Switch Agent to Develop mode
- Implement from the selection
Plan limits
Free plans cap inspiration sites and web captures per month. Pro and Team remove limits. See Plans and usage.
