Task channels

Connect Telegram, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, or a webhook to get task updates and manage the board from chat.

Task channels connect the task board to the chat apps your team already uses. Velork sends AI-written updates when agents start, finish, or fail. On Telegram, Slack, and Discord you can also message the bot to ask about the board, add tasks, and start agents.

Channels run from the Velork desktop app, so the bot answers and sends updates while Velork is open on your computer.

Open Channels

Open the task board
Click Channels in the board header

Click Back to board to return.

Connect Telegram

Create a bot with BotFather and copy its token
Click Connect on Telegram and paste the token
Optional: paste your chat ID. To find it, message your bot or @userinfobot. Leave it empty to bind the chat later.
Send any message to your bot, then click Test to bind notifications to that chat

Connect Slack

Create a Slack app with a bot token, and turn on Socket Mode to get an app-level token
Click Connect on Slack and paste the Slack Bot Token, then the Slack App-Level Token
Mention the bot or send it a message in the channel you want to use

Connect Discord

Create a Discord application with a bot and turn on the Message Content intent
Click Connect on Discord and paste the bot token
Message the bot to bind the chat

Connect Microsoft Teams or a webhook

Create an incoming webhook in Teams, or set up an HTTPS endpoint
Click Connect and paste the URL

These channels only receive updates.

Talk to the board from chat

On a two-way channel, message the bot in plain language. It can:

Answer questions about tasks and progress
Add a task. New tasks go to the backlog.
Add a subtask
Start or stop the agent on a task
Move a task to another status

Add a task: fix the spacing on the pricing card, then run it.

Choose notifications

Under Notifications, pick what each channel receives:

Progress updates are sent at most every 10 minutes by default. Turn a channel's switch off to stop its updates without disconnecting.

Status

Status	Meaning
Connected	Working
Connecting	Starting up
Missing token	Setup isn't finished
Auth required	The token was rejected. Connect again.
Conflict	Another app or computer is already using the same bot token
Error	Something failed. Click Test for details.
Disabled	The channel is off

Click Test on any connected channel to check it. Click Disconnect to remove a channel and its token.
