AI providers
Velork runs models through your provider. Connect once during first-run setup or anytime from Settings → Providers in the desktop app. Credentials are stored locally on this device.
Velork bills for the platform — canvas, captures, tasks, MCP slots — not bundled model credits. See Plans and usage.
Subscription providers
These providers use OAuth or a single vendor API key and are available from the command palette:
| Provider | Connection |
|---|---|
| GitHub Copilot | OAuth device flow → GitHub |
| Codex | OAuth browser flow or codex login |
| Claude Code | Anthropic API key |
| Cursor | Cursor API key |
Run Connect GitHub Copilot, Connect OpenAI Codex, Connect Claude Code, or Connect Cursor from the command palette. Status appears in the status bar.
BYOK providers
Beyond the subscription providers above, Velork supports 114+ bring-your-own-key (BYOK) providers — OpenRouter, Groq, Mistral, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex, Azure, DeepSeek, and many more.
Use the searchable catalog below to find a provider, required environment variables, and documentation links. In the desktop app, open Settings → Providers, pick a provider, and paste the credentials for the listed env vars.
First-run setup
On Connect a provider, link one provider or Skip for now. Agent needs at least one connection before model calls succeed.
Choose models
Open Settings → Models to set defaults per agent mode. Toggle the picker in chat with Cmd + /.
Troubleshooting
If chat fails with an auth error:
- Re-run the connect command for your provider
- Confirm the token or API key is still valid with the provider
- Check Settings → Usage for Velork platform limits — separate from provider quotas
