Export
Export layers and frames as PNG, JPG, or SVG, and animated frames as MP4, WebM, GIF, MOV, PNG sequence, Lottie, or animated SVG.
Export any layer or frame from the Export section of the properties panel. Still layers export as images. Frames with motion also export as video and animation files.
Export an image
- Select a layer or frame.
- In the Export section, click + (Add Export).
- Choose a format and a size.
- Click Export followed by the layer's name, for example Export Hero.
Add more rows to export several formats or sizes at once, for example PNG at 1x and 2x plus an SVG.
| Format | Use it for |
|---|---|
| PNG | Raster image with transparency |
| JPG | Raster image without transparency |
| SVG | Vector graphics |
Set the size as a scale (0.5x to 4x), or as a width or height in pixels. SVG exports at 1x. A Preview of the layer shows under the rows.
Each file is named after the layer and saved as a download, so Velork asks where to save it. Path-traced 3D stills show their progress on the button: click it again to cancel.
Export an animation
Frames that have motion offer animation formats:
| Format | Use it for |
|---|---|
| MP4 | Video (H.264) for social, ads, and presentations |
| WebM | Web video (VP9), can be transparent |
| MOV | ProRes for video editors, can be transparent |
| GIF | Animated image that loops, for email |
| PNG sequence | One transparent PNG per frame, in a zip |
| Lottie | Vector animation JSON for websites and apps |
| Animated SVG | One SVG that plays in browsers |
Click the export button to open the Render settings. They include:
- Size: 1× to 4×, or Px for a width or height in pixels
- Frame rate (24 to 60 fps) and Format
- Shape: the frame's own, 16:9 widescreen, 1:1 square, 9:16 vertical, or 4:5 feed, with Whole (padded) or Fill (cropped)
- Codec and Quality (Draft, Standard, High, Max, or Custom bitrate). MP4 offers H.264, HEVC, or AV1, WebM offers VP9 or AV1, and MOV offers ProRes 4444 or ProRes 422 HQ.
- Background: Solid (the frame's background) or Transparent, for formats that keep transparency
- 3D render: Path traced or Quick, for 3D frames with path tracing on
- Motion blur: on or off
- Range: the whole timeline, the work area, or Custom in / out
Lottie and animated SVG export the shapes and keyframes themselves, so they skip the pixel settings.
Click Render. The popover shows the progress and the time left. Click Cancel to stop. GIFs are at most 960 px wide.
Export 3D
When the layer holds a 3D frame with path tracing on, the Export section lets you choose how it renders:
- Quick 3D: matches the canvas and renders fast.
- Path traced: photoreal light and reflections. This takes much longer, up to minutes per video frame.
See 3D.
Export with Agent
Agent can export layers for you and write the files into your project, for example sprites into public/ or icons into src/assets. Without a folder named, they go in exports/.
Export the icons on this page as SVG into src/assets/icons.
