Velork Alpha 0.2.0

A capture-fidelity and design-creation release: Inspiration rebuilds real layered pages again (Notion-class sites included), plus Slates for live React previews and a compact design write DSL for faster canvas work.

Fixes

  • Inspiration site capture: pages with nested display: contents shells (for example Notion) no longer collapse into one giant text layer with a screenshot fill — capture rebuilds real layered frames again
  • Sticky / fixed navbars: headers stuck mid-scroll no longer land thousands of pixels down the artboard; capture resets scroll and measures fixed/sticky chrome at the document origin
  • Logo and SVG fills: theme CSS variables (for example var(--color-black)) bake into real paints at capture time so logos and icons render instead of empty vectors
  • CTA and button layers: painted buttons and flex controls stay as separate frames with fills instead of flattening into a single text run
  • Decorative chrome: aria-hidden UI (chevrons, icons, wrappers) is kept when it is visually present — accessibility hiding no longer drops it from the design
  • Next.js image URLs: proxied /_next/image assets no longer collide on pathname-only keys, so hero piles get the right bitmaps
  • Canvas zoom greying: soft LOD refresh no longer leaves stale grey tiles when zooming inspiration pages

Improvements

  • Design agent writes: indented design DSL (design_write_dsl), style updates, and text tools make canvas edits faster and more structured for Design mode
  • Design-for-AI reads: leaner structure/node payloads and safer asset URLs so agents retrieve canvas context with less noise
  • MCP tool cards: clearer grouping and icons for MCP results in chat
  • Canvas performance: retained chunk cache and LOD invalidation keep pan/zoom smoother on larger captured brands

New

  • Slates: the agent can create live React pages under .velork/slates/ with create_slate — sandboxed preview tabs powered by the Velork Slate runtime
  • Design write DSL: agents compose frames and layers with a compact indented DSL instead of only low-level layer ops
