Velork Alpha 0.3.0-alpha
The biggest update yet. The AI designs, draws and animates on the canvas beside you, designs share as live links, Claude shows its thinking as it works, and the Agents view gets its own browser, terminals and tabs.
New
- AI designs on the canvas: one tool sets every layer property, layers appear one by one as the AI writes them, and its cursor works beside yours like a teammate's
- AI drawing: the AI draws by hand with a pen and a pencil, stroke by stroke, pixel art included
- Images, icons and fonts: the AI generates images straight into your design, finds icons, and uses any Google font, installed font or font file you give it
- Export by the AI: layers, frames or whole pages to PNG, JPG, SVG, and MP4, WebM or GIF for motion, at any scale or size, many at once, into any project folder
- Motion: animate layers on a timeline, with triggers on load, click, hover, press, scroll and in view. Pages with motion open in Motion mode, and Space plays. Figma Motion keeps its animation when pasted
- Video export: MP4, WebM and GIF from the Export section
- Share links: share a design at velork.com/s/…, live as you work, with comments and cursors for everyone viewing
- Present: play a design full screen
- Path editing and the pen tool: double-click a shape to edit its points, or press P to draw a path
- Deep Capture: capture a website at several breakpoints from the built-in browser onto the canvas
- Annotate: point at a page in the built-in browser and leave the agent a note
- Effort: pick Low, Medium, High, Extra or Max for Claude models from the model menu, with a Thinking switch
- Chat views: Detailed, Compact and Minimal
- Sessions as tabs: the Agents view can show sessions as tabs instead of a sidebar
Improvements
- Thinking you can watch: Claude's thinking streams into the chat as it happens, with "Thinking for 12s" counting in every chat view
- Model menu: redesigned like the + menu. Effort shows on the button, and Providers lists every provider with search, plus API keys in Settings
- Design mode: design only. When you want code, the agent switches to Develop
- Faster design tools: searching layers went from up to a minute to milliseconds, and screenshots of captured sites from 6–9s to a fifth of a second
- Big designs: canvases with 100,000 layers stay responsive, zoomed-out views draw in seconds, and big pages save in parts
- Canvas editing: text edits in place like Figma, a Figma-style selection marquee, snapping, Option spacing and gap handles, paste at the pointer (⌘V) or in place (⇧⌘V), group and layer order commands
- Properties panel: one aligned grid, a new colour picker, and stroke and type settings in popovers
- Agents view: plans, settings, layers, files and terminals open as tabs in the right panel instead of switching to the IDE, one tab per terminal
- Background terminals: dev servers the agent starts are listed above the composer with Stop and an arrow that opens their address, and the agent can read a running server's output
- Canvas follows the session: the canvas shows the design of the chat's own folder
- Settings: redesigned, with a grouped sidebar and Permissions on one page
- Plan card: shows Ready, Implementing (with steps done) and Implemented
- Phone: the phone sees every desktop window's canvas, and its chat shows design work and screenshots like the desktop
- Sending: a message you send, from the composer or the queue, brings the chat to it
Fixes
- Claude tool calls: no longer hang, land on the wrong card, or fail with "No such tool"
- Opened thoughts: a thought stays open while the reply streams, instead of the chat redrawing it closed
- New Chat: messages sent from a new chat are no longer dropped
- Chat speed: the chat stays smooth while a terminal prints a lot
- Terminals: macOS no longer runs out of terminals during long agent sessions, and agent terminals no longer close or come back by themselves
- Presenting: images stay sharp
- Failed steps: shown as text, without red dots
- File tabs: line numbers no longer touch the panel's edge
- Menus: the Providers list opens at the top
