Velork Alpha 0.1.1

Bug-fix and stability release following 0.1.0-alpha. If you hit rough edges in the first alpha build, this update is worth installing.

Chat and streaming

  • Fixed message edit UI overlapping the read-only bubble when editing a sent message
  • Restored todo item labels during streaming (icons no longer appear without text)
  • Fixed terminal segments switching to light mode in dark theme during interactive runs
  • Improved streaming render pipeline so tool calls and file segments stay visible while the model responds
  • Fixed reasoning blocks merging incorrectly into a single "Thought for Xs" row
  • Inspiration mode no longer exposes filesystem read tools for brand capture folders (context is inlined instead)
  • Removed the noisy "Streaming" badge from file segments

Inspiration and design canvas

  • After capturing inspiration, the app switches to the Canvas tab before zoom-to-fit so you see the result immediately
  • Stopped automatic Figma clipboard debug JSON downloads on paste
  • Desktop inspiration capture improvements for Windows (screenshot-only path, shell-aware bash)

Models and providers

  • Cursor provider now defaults to Auto when Cursor models are available
  • Renamed Agent to Cursor in the model picker for clarity

Analytics

  • PostHog product telemetry for desktop (session events, inspiration capture, generation KPIs) when configured

Updates and auth

  • Alpha update checks now attach auth correctly (fixes 401 errors after sign-in)
  • Clearer error messages when update access is missing or expired

First-run onboarding (macOS)

  • Fixed native onboarding not appearing on first Velork Alpha install after the alpha rebrand
  • Onboarding now uses alpha-specific bundle ID, data paths, and completion flags

Developer / install reliability

  • Restored node-gyp override and upgraded @vscode/spdlog so npm ci completes on macOS
  • Fixed Electron cache invalidation when the app name changes (Velork → Velork Alpha)
  • Dev builds use a VS Code-compatible engine version so built-in extensions activate correctly

macOS install help

Alpha Mac builds are not Apple-notarized yet. If macOS blocks the app, right-click Velork Alpha → Open, or run:
